The history of Dr. Hobein & Co.
EUBOS - a company makes history.
In 1930 the doctor's degree dentist Heinrich Werner Janssen founds his own company. "Dr. Janssen & Co" is specialized in the manufacturing of various pharmacological products, for example drugs against asthma suffering. His own company's name gets into the background when taking over the company of his business partner: "Dr. Hobein & Co.:.
1947 - 1958
In 1947 Heinrich Werner Janssen transfers the headquarter of Dr. Hobein & Co. from Berlin to Bonn into the "Meckenheimer Allee 90 - 91". The new start is modest. The offices are put up in the cellar temporarily.
1958 - 1971
The product "EUBOS Solid" is launched on the German market in 1958. Although the "non-soap-bar" - such is the common description in these days - does not bring any considerable turnover yet, the company increases steadily. In the same year the moving into the "Dottendorfer Strasse 44-48" takes place.
1971 - 1976
Helmut Werner Janssen assumes the direct succession of the deceased company's founder on 9 October 1971. In contrast to his uncle Heinrich Werner Janssen, he concentrates on the further development of the EUBOS range - with success. Already in 1976 the company has grown that much that one is compelled to move into a new building Meckenheim which has to be enlarged several times - always according to the motto: "This time will be the last time !"
1976 - 1994
EUBOS turns out to be a big seller. Nearly every two years the EUBOS range is enlarged by new products.
1994 - today
In more than 25 countries world-wide the EUBOS care products - well suited to each other - provide a pleasant felling to the skin. Especially for very sensitive skin the EUBOS Sensitive range is brought into life in 1996. This range stands out from the other product of the new EUBOS Sensitive range have been launched on the market - each of them exceedingly successful: SHOWER & CREAM, SHOWER OIL F, MOISTURIZING CREAM, REGENERATING CREAM as well as HAND REPAIR & CARE.
